Group: Novel Writers/Readers Only

The writing in this group may contain explicit content and is only for adults. You have been warned.

Welcome Novel Writers

Welcome all :) to start us off, why don't we start posting our novels in the group and if you like start a discussion where people can get information on your novel and ask questions/make suggestions etc. All novel genres are welcome here, but it must be a book as you'll see in the "About" section :)

does that mean you wish me to start to treprint my novel here instead of the website proper

Leonard a. Wronke

No, you can post your novel via the normal method and just check the box for this group.

My novel has been posted here for a good long time but not anybody seems interested in it.

It is very nearly completed but I do not feel motivated to complete it on here.

When and if I recieve any encouraging ccomments or even helpful criticism willi make the effort to reveal all the secrets I introduced.

Well, if you go back to edit the chapters of your novel, you will find that you can check the box to post it in the group. I'd love to have a read, and I'm sure others would too

why not just read it in the site. then critique.

Even when you post it in the group, it's still in the site, it just means people in the group will have better access to it. It's easier for everyone.

i tried to edit the first chapter as you suggested but i did not find a link to this discussion site... please advise to what i am missing.

I'm having friends do my proofing for me first, and when they hand it back over I'll work it over for a second draft. I don't think I'll submit to a publisher till draft #3 though

@Leonard, you select your piece, go to the "About" tab and click "Edit" scroll down and you will find the check box for this group

@Jason sounds good!

ok, i have posted the very first chapter(or i hope i did using the step you told me) i will see if this is read and critiqued before i present the next.

Leonard a. Wronke

Brianna Fronce

Sounds good Brianna :)

Rebekah King

Rebekah, you do know that Brianna's work wll never appear here. If you bring up her name the site rells you she is not a member.

Leonard a. Wronke

19th May 2012

No I did not know that and there is absolutely no need to be rude. Besides, are you calling her a liar or something? Why would she say she's going to post her work if she can't?

Rebekah King

20th May 2012

I was not attempting to be rude... awhile ago, Harley and the other community leaders told us to report any one who may not be here as themselves. Brianna and another have written pieces within one or two days then are gone. Could it be that they were not whom they said, all you have to do is privately message any of the community leaders and ask.

Leonard a. Wronke

20th May 2012

Well, quite frankly I don't see why anyone would bother doing that.

Rebekah King

ok...i have had the first chapter of my novel posted for a week on this group site and there has been not one menton or critique of it.

i am wondering if it is even worth my staying on this site.

as i have stated before i came here to scribe slice to get help with my poetry writing but i am here, as well, to have all the rough edges of my novel straightened out.

my poetry writing is just fine.

i was recieving beginning help for the novel then the person(s) helping me just stopped.

i had hopes to have it ready for its third draft by september, that is not going to happen.

Sorry no one's helped you, I think everybody is pretty busy right now. Just wait a little bit and eventually people will have time for critique.

@Leonard. I understand your frustrations. But patience is a virtue a writer must have. Try other sites, like Authorsden.com. Maybe not many people view this site. Those of us who are members too do not really have time to look at others' work. But I will check on your writing and give my comments. Hope you will be a little lightened up with my comments. Smile.
