another riddle, no clues this time

I am important I keep the balance
Though I am not impressive at first glance
I have some kin one three times my girth
If I were lost you would know my worth

Throughout the day it is very dark
Suffused with stench it is no lark
In the night I work undercover
Wriggling freely like my significant other.

Your kidneys? Digestion? Or maybe the loo? Now we know that could be smelly.
(I know they are silly answers)
Maybe Peace? No of course not!
Now how about your plumbing system?

Davide Castel

Leslie Blackwell

Its not rectum or the plumbing system for sure. LOL - I laughed so much at those two. :P

Asma Ahsan

17th April 2013

Cindy Beitinger

17th April 2013

:) I agree with Cindy. Foot seems most decent option but what is

I have some kin one three times my girth

???

Part of the leg? The Shin?

Asma Ahsan

Okay, now you are making me doubt my guess again.

You are all on the right track but for the wrong reasons.
Okay I will give you a clue Its name could be part of an ancient Indonesian volcano.

Another clue could be "who works at a mill around here?"

Leslie Blackwell

18th April 2013

i think it is 'small intestine'. large intestine is three times that of small intestine.

Yep! I do think it is the small intestine now! Leslie, say that it is!

Which one of us is the CLOSEST?

Davide Castel

18th April 2013

Okay its obvious you are getting further and further away from the anwser so I'll tell you...drum roll - It was the little toe!

Ancient Indonesian volcano Karakatoa (toe)
Who works at a mill around here? Jim Miller (scroll up and find his name) he gave the right answer.

As for the stench, I never actually said it was around during nightime.
During the day the little toe is crammed into smelly socks and shoes, at night it is free to wriggle round.

The big toe is about 3 times the girth of the little toe (maybe even more)

The little toe may not seem important but you would be unballanced without it.

Sorry but it was not an intestine or rectum and though part of the foot it is more an apendage of one.

Thankyou all for playing.

Riddles can be fun can't they? Oh well I'll sit back and read your responses.

Now that wasn't really fair Leslie! You should have kept us all out of our misery, by saying yes, part of the foot, at least!
I don't know if I'll ever take you at your word again!!! You sly old dog!
Have you got any more? Oh dear, why did I have to ask...

Davide Castel

19th April 2013

Boy I'm glad I stayed out of this one to give others a turn. That was a Karakatoup!

Paul Day

I couldn't guess it. Good one!

Asma Ahsan

I thought for sure it was rectum. Actually, little toe makes a lot more sense.
