soul mates

The early morn slowly wakes her up
Distant whispers urging her to move on
Bare footed, pacing the cold floor
The winter day silently calls out
A single red rose she places on her pillow
As she leaves everything behind
And wanders away without a name.

She walks alone in the cold
Each step she takes
Brings her closer to a lost identity
Memories once made
Now drifting endlessly in the past
She walks alone in the cold
Leaving behind the identity
That she once called her own.

Night arises and the pain is heavy on her heart
The dark of night concealed her captor
The thunderstorms drowned her screams
Innocence washed away by the rain
Little girl without a name of her own
Will somehow never be the same again.

She walks alone in the dark
Each step she takes
Brings her closer to death
Memories once made
Now drifting endlessly in the past
She walks alone in the dark
Leaving behind the life
That she once called her own.

Nameless girl
Who walked alone
Lifeless
Near a river
Nameless girl
Who walked alone
A single red rose
Was placed on her graveā€¦
