Title- The Gift of Sight

For Christmas
I want The Gift of Sight

I know it’s to much to ask for but
I can’t ask for anything else… 1 comment

Life is not the same
Without the ability to see

It makes me fall
It makes me fear
It makes me cry
It makes me sad
It makes me angry

I want to see!

I count my footsteps when I walk
But I also
Count the seconds
Count the minutes
Count the hours
Count the days
Count the weeks
Count the months
Count the years
That has gone by without sight

And tears roll down my cheeks…

It’s a hard time, every year during Christmas
I act like a little kid
Asking Santa for the Gift of Sight in letters

And waiting and waiting for it to come true…
It’s hard, so hard

What’s the point of having my helper write
Letters to Santa each year asking for the gift of sight
If I never get anything?...

Just alone at home spending it on my own again
Here in the dark
