After reading many of your poems and stories, I am sure you know this feeling, too.

Could I suggest....in this 3rd paragraph. All para. are 8 lines, and this one is just 6. So...You could break the first line into 2... 1) But I'll come back for you, 2) My Love. 3) There's so much left to do, 4) Hand in Hand 5) Stories to be told 6) And footprints on the strand? (my suggestions only)

If you want things that way

Written in October 2010, after someone suggested writing a song about trains- I had no idea this is what would come from my grimsical mind. This has many layers of meaning for me and maybe for you, too.

It’s time for me to leave
I’ve been here for a while
I’ll give you one more kiss
To make you smile
I’ll have one last look
To hold forever more
The train is moving on
I am going home

I’ve been alone before
And kind of know the way
There’s light behind the doors
But not a place to stay
So tell me that you love me
Before I go away
The train is moving on
I am going home 2 comments

I’ll be there for you, My Love
I’ll never leave you blue
There’s so much left to do
hand in hand
Stories to be told
Songs that we will sing
Footprints to leave
on the strand 1 comment

It’s time for me to leave
And wait out in the rain
I need your love
To keep from going sane
One day we’ll see with open eyes
Beyond this crystal ball
The train that  goes around
Goes nowhere at all.
