For Charlie

      When despair descends and all is bleak;

shut your eyes and go to seek

the emotion that is deep inside

     where all happiness does reside.
It should bring a smile upon your face

when you find the happy place.

After you realize that it is near

you remember you have naught to fear.

When you are scared, alone and sad

its comfort should make you glad.

You need not elicit fret or stress

for it stops the pain and all duress.

My wish is that all could be as I

then there would not be a reason why

to have a doubt or a care

     since salvation is always there.

For the love that it does show

will lift you up when you are low.

Because you have known from the start

that your happy place is in your heart.
