Each Time We Part

Not sure where this came from. I set out to write something happy and this is what I got.. lol. I've never actually been through something like this, but here you go.

You were pretty when I first met you,
You became gorgeous as I got to know know you.

Soon I developed a crush,
I liked you so much it hurt.

We started dating after you kissed me under the stars,
It was the happiest moment of my life.

Until you soiled the memory.

Your lies and beatings became too much,
But I couldn’t leave you.

You made sure I felt like I needed you,
Slowly pulled me away from society,
Told me you couldn’t live without me.

I’ve reached the end of my rope,
I’m barely hanging on by the frayed ends.

I’ll no longer take your beatings,
Or listen to your lies.

You’re a big boy, you’ll just find the next victim to play with.

I honestly feel sorry for her
Because she’ll fall for your charms
Then she’ll fall apart as she realizes
You can’t love her,
Because for you, love is just a game.
