soul mates

Dis is an ode to Her. It was good while it lasted.

I saw her sitting in the corner
her vivacious curves
beckoned to me
to come and play her

she spoke to me
in a language
too beautuous for words
she sheened
reflecting the innocuous beauty
that was mine
and mine alone

from the very start
ours was a romance
that only few can understand
she begged me to come
and play her

we sat together
in deep silence
not a word was spoken
and yet the world
would unfold
to our wondrous view

then I would pick her up
cradle her in my arms
and she would begin to weep
to the puppet strings
beneath my fingers

yeah, she was a beauty
that no man could deny
she was my guitar
but I lost her
to The Pawnshop
of My Misguided Desire.
