soul mates

You have left this earthly relm;
My mind has yet to wrap around the fact that you are gone.
Your smile captured forever in photos that are sprinkled around the house.
I accepted the Flag of the United States of America that was handed to me.
I am numb and I can't feel the Flag, I can't feel me, I can't feel you.
There it sits looking at me....just sitting there.
What now my love, what now?
Sometimes I am surprised that I am breathing...
I long for sleep for it is only then that I am alive in my dreams.
When my mind awakes; the memories flood back again like a raging river of emotions.
All the pieces that are me, scattered in the winds of time.
I know my love, moment by moment, minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day.
I will see Us in a new light a new relm, when I can feel once again.
Can you see me?
Can you wrap your essence around me?
Can you come to me my love?
