soul mates

Call to thee your childhood days when memories were young.

It took not much to make one happy.

A friend was a friend, and a friend was all one needed.

Smiles were real and meant so much more than the traces we now hide behind.

For we were young, we faced the world with open minds and softer hearts.

We learned and loved with each new day for each and every was brighter still.

Forget now not what we once learned, for these lessons never lose their worth.

Share now I do this ode with joy to the memories of our years gone by.
