soul mates

No angel's wings could pass with more grace

Than the soft steps with which she paces through my thoughts.

Where Heaven to briskly sweep away the Earth from beneath her feet,

She would still stand radiant amongst the beauty of the stars.

The prettiest of flowers would feel blessed to be within her glow

If they knew it not to be the sun in which they bask so usually.

I had never known a smile to be so bright and full of life,

That it alone could fill my own with more meaning and more joy.

I pray Fate would be so kind as to bless me with her, forever in my life.

May sweet songs forever praise her name with all the beauty she embodies.

Though I have dared to try and capture all she is in such short verse,

Be assured no words yet have been conceived to do her such fair justice.

She may be my first and final muse.
