soul mates

Just another girl and then she smiled at me. ( Nine lines in iambic pentameter)

Was she beautiful, the girl on the till
Or was it the freshness of youth that glowed
From her cheeks and the brightness of her eyes?
Perhaps it was her wavy flaxen hair
That made me look as she counted tickets
For bargain buys I’d saved for weeks and weeks.
‘Need help with your packing, do you have bags?
Then she smiled at me. Discussion over.
No question now. Yes! She was beautiful.
