soul mates

Does love arrive with the first touch,
Or with a kiss?
She chooses and not us.
Love comes to us and from us.
Can we summon her like a spring shower?
Can we make a flower grow?
Love just happens when she is ready.
We imagine we might create love,
Because love is in us.
We are born with it to give without knowing how.
We cannot request love from another because
Love is not love unless freely given.
Love chooses the moment,
And Love happens.
