For Charlie

Your soul and mine are together upon
     another plane of existence-one where

they are, both, happy and fulfilled

Where flesh and blood are not needed

     to feel contentment and satisfaction.

Am I not a poet, dearest; does not my

heart smile whenever it senses you close.

Be, always, near me that I bestow upon

your tender spirit all the passion that

     burns inside.

Love that will not be extinguished; rather

will become stronger with the passage of

time until the very heavens proclaim that
a lost, forgotten soul has found his mate.

True testament of commitment so intense

     that even God will approve.

Angels cry tears of joy; the Eternal

     Host welcome such a miracle.

     That two, finally, become one;

     never, again to part.
