Maybe it would read better as "You gave in so easily" (verb before the adverb)

For Charlie

You gave in so easily
Something so rare nowadays
A purity of body, lost
To libido’s greed 2 comments

Nothing special
No candlelit dinner
Nor slow dancing
Simply something that ‘just happened’

You cheapened it all
True love gave way to lust
Romantic passion destroyed
Solely to get a thrill

We were the last of our kind
Yet you left me to myself
A cold hearted act
A cruelty unchained

Now I am alone
The last of my people

But I will endure
Through all the humiliation
From all those around me
As I fade into extinction
