the older I get the more I realize I haven't got there yet- Like this revelation. I guess you've still got a long way to go.

the at night seems a little forced in some ways as if an afterthought to enable you to rhyme with "right." Just my own opinion.

Actually that is just the way it came to me. (Please see my essay on "Forced Rhymes")

I have had a lot of opinions that I really really thought were right only to learn later in life that I was wrong. I think we should always consider and respect each others opinions. I also think we should have the courage to say I was wrong.

Yes, Debbie. I thought I was wrong one time but later in the day I found out that I wasn't. *A little humor*

soul mates

As dumb as I am, I'm thankful.

I wonder why it is that
The older that I get
The more I realize
I haven't got there yet. 1 comment

And why it seems to be
That the older I grow
The more I understand
how little I really know.

And how much that I have
learned throughout the years
Through efforts all my own
My blood and sweat and tears.

I admit that I am far
From the brightest star at  night
And I'm as near to perfect
As my left is from my right. 2 comments

Yet somehow I can't help thinking
that whatever I might say
There are those who will choose
To think the other way.

God give me the wisdom
and  please give me the wits
To respect their opinions,
Those bloody idiots.
