that beckons to "my" salvation?

I was trying to say it is not only my salvation I am seeking but the all encompassing salvation that is everyone's but I am just a piece to it...(if that makes sense).

For Charlie

Walking through the halls of my mind I remember Shambala.
The place between here and now where all my worries and cares
wash away and my soul is lifted.
How can I not stay there and rejoice in my spiritual sphere.

Alas, it is but the forgotten memory of a place long past.
March on to the level of Nirvana that transcends all the
     monotony of meager existence.

Hark onto the road of Paradise where those who I wish
    to know and have known welcome me with open arms;
words of faith uttered in the hope that the eternal
love of all will alleviate that which  troubles me.

Mundane reality crashes in and the aspiration dies; I lose
the sense of well being to, again, trudge ever onward
    towards oblivion and perdition.

Heaven help my soul at the lost opportunity of redemption.
In the fervent, gnawing need to reconnect I bend my knee to
beseech that all that was and could be is allowed to be revealed.
That once more I am allowed the glimpse of  the shimmering light
that beckons to salvation. 2 comments

The cries of despair drown out the prayer and I am, eternally,
    damned to see no more.

To my sorrow, the curtain falling, forever,
obscures my vision and dreams. 3 comments
