soul mates

Written when I was about fourteen.  I don't remember who the girl was that I wrote it for.

There's really no reason
Why any season
Can't be as it was last spring.
With romantic splendor
and kisses so tender
while listening to the birds sing.

All that I have to do
Is just to think of you
And of times when you wore my ring.
And then it seems, dear
Here in my dreams, dear
Just like it was last spring.
