Hi, do you know me?
I think I had a name once.
Perhaps you knew me by it.
I like others, would use it when asked who I was.
It was some delusion I seemed to share with whoever asked,
that this word given as a title would suffice in place of my identity.
“Who are you?” they would say,
to which, with that given title, I believe I would say back to them and ask the same,
“Who are you?”
What a faulty notion to have one word be a label of what and who we are.
“Who are you?” I ask you now.
