soul mates

Roses are red, violets are blue
sugar is sweet and so were you.
but the roses have wilted and the violets are dead.
The sugar bowl's empty, and the guilt screams in my head.
the sun isn't shining, the sky isn't clear.
there's no silver lining, cause thanks to me your no longer here.
rain keeps pouring, and there's no end in sight.
im laying here frozen in loss, falling from light.
bravery is futile, and your smile is the sun.
but time cant be turned nor my actions undone.
a bond we formed, a love I thought ran deep.
a love I screwed up, now you are the grief I keep.
I wanted you to hold me, just to look into your dark eyes.
but all I have now is a half hearted goodbye.
I want to forget but most times I dont.
I want to let go of pointlessness hope,  even though I know I wont.
tears in my eyes, memories burned in my head.
the roses have wilted and the violets are dead.
