i see angels above me, i see demons below me, fighting over heaven.
i loved her more when i was sober.
i don't want a second chance.
love starts with that of a flickerin' cigarette
i swear i could feel your love before i knew your name.

soul mates

My child's innocence was lost once what appeared magical was no longer something impossible I recall still the day when I wasn't distracted by the smoke and could see clearly the hidden mirror
That is how I came to make the discovery that everything that is sold as more than it appears there possess an easy answer
such a shame was this revelation since then I feel that now nothing holds me in awe nor wonder
and I developed a habit which involves never trusting any thing being sold to me as being told as true
every promise I found hides somewhere in it a false bottom, if one looks hard in their stare
on occasion I know it best to leave well enough alone but that impulse I now do ignore
ever since the time as a child I listened to myself and had to willingly drink the lies that poured out of a lovely smile
that was a painful experience, the discovery of malice intent proves the transgressor, for my happiness, does not care
once that happened I take much will power and too many years to decide enough is enough and to again search and explore
vast lands I endure in hopes of finding in some pretty face a soul that isn't simply a trickster fore more often than not they are a born traitor
found one by accident, so I thought, but as time ticked bye I realized I was picked by her fir she sensed how my heart is fragile
the taste of blood lust is what motivates a creature such as that, an inspiring epitome for demons and the vampire
bought too easy into her tales that were hidden behind a veil of tears and words that rang of the pain I felt when younger
like a fiddle or violin was how my sympathy for her had been played and of that for her abilities I still do admire
but Alas as being a victim myself I figured she deserved benefit of the doubt and so a deaf ear I gave to the accumulating voices singing of her rumor
only now I wish that I had listened to the lessons I learned prior
then when she tore me open I wouldn't now hurt since I wouldn't have even stopped to bother 4 comments
