For Charlie

I write not these words to be reviewed or even sought.

I put them down to cause ideas and thoughts.

In writing, one but dreams of things and places not found
but in the minds and wonders of sight and sound.

O CAPTAIN, MY CAPTAIN ( to quote the words of a greater
wordsmith than I) of men and women that seek beyond
their own forgotten realms of truth (but falsehood),
faith, compassion to live as they trudge on into the
oblivion of sameness.

Peace, be with these lost souls whom reality has
pushed away, having them stand in the din of chaos,
attempting to break their ardor that they conform.

BELIEVE IN THYSELF(as the GOOD BOOK states), free your
spirit...allow it to soar, to traverse time and space
until you reach the holy place...the land of paradise
to face the ONE who will set you on your course of
freedom away from want and pity.

Remain in the hope that celestial intervention will guide
one to a time of nurture, feed the psyche with
holy texts, testaments before the days of yore.

Please, genuflect, seeking to revive lost faith, to become uplifted
beyond all knowing until the foretold redemption is granted.

Again, I say, write the words of parables, gospels until all
of existence deems to read, listen, cherish, obey for the
sake of eternal salvation, everlasting insight.
