For Charlie

A sincere gesture of respect to the one who reads this.

Lost amongst the stars is the light of faith.
Only its brilliance can shine through the darkness of my soul.
Very soon, the hope it provides will show me the way.
Even though I will be too blind to see.

Let me be very clear about my desire to be free of despair.
Everyday I attempt to remove the stain from my soul.
That I may, again, join with my brethren,
To sing the praises of the one who saved my spirit.
Evermore seeking to be counted with the chosen.
Respect, nay, love was sought; it was destined to be found.
