FREAKY!

Today, I opened my computer to find 44 messages waiting me, from yesterday!
Usually it is only about 1-10, but for some reason, I found this quite freaky!

Have there been any other freaky happenings in your lives?

I came on this website and I had 59 notifications. Is it possible to have 44 messages?!?

Analise Arto

10th April 2013

Analise, I meant notifications, because I check this computer daily, so for me that was alot of them!

Davide Castel

10th April 2013

I had 136 the other day. I removed the recommnedations and then answered all as I had a borrowed machine. My laptop is here now so I check daily so they dont pile up.

Asma Ahsan

9th April 2013

I think that was the problem Asma. I must say though, that they were mostly from you! You are one dedicated person! You get things done! Oh woe is me, if only, if only, if only!

Davide Castel

I didnt have a laptop for almost a week I think. Imagine the pile up. :) I try to read all notifications. I have a new laptop now. I am back in action. :)

Asma Ahsan

9th April 2013

I still have notifications from like 2 weeks ago. 154!

Daniela Bustamante

Good luck - I cleaned up my account. :)

Asma Ahsan

10th April 2013

I'm down to 16! Whooooo hooooo!

Daniela Bustamante

9th April 2013

Daniela, no wonder you have been feeling heavily 'snowed under' trying to keep up with everything.

I think I would probably have gone crazy; my arm would have stiffened, I get tennis elbow, my husband would have divorced me! He gets jealous and feels in competition, when I'm too long on the computer, and my other house chores would have suffered.

You see, I wouldn't have been able to do anything else, whilst wanting to see all those notifications. I'm like a 'dog with a bone' at times.

Yes, I realise now, that with the new younger additions to this SS family, we have some very, very, keen members who are full of enthusiasm.

Davide Castel

Yeah, we talk non stop and make stories non stop. If I charged for my writing, other writers would be out of work, as I can write three times faster than most, and it's good quality too. Bragging shamelessly. ;) I don't write public for money as it will ruin the ones who need the money more than me.

Asma Ahsan

10th April 2013

Well I finally cleared my notifications! Hahaha. Honestly this site is my addiction.

Daniela Bustamante

10th April 2013

Okay..mine too! Oh dear! I must go to bed for it is 1.40 am. here. I hope you understand!

Davide Castel

11th April 2013

Totally. My day is barely starting over here. I hope you have a wonderful night!

Daniela Bustamante

10th April 2013

Daniela, I am awake now just to find 19 notifications!!!

Had to take a 'Panadeine' during the night for my sore arm, as I couldn't sleep, and I never take painkillers. Usually everyone takes 2, but I refuse to unless desperate! Anyway, it knocked me out completely!
I am supposed to be packing today, for our weekend away, but I feel so zapped! Oh woe is me.

Davide Castel

11th April 2013

You are like me! or more like I am like you hahaha. I rather deal with the pain than take painkillers... I hate them!

Just pack and don't think about it too much!

Daniela Bustamante

10th April 2013

Then I need to get off this computer, just 19 notifications today. So I need to go through them first!

Davide Castel

11th April 2013

My notifications pile up, as I intend to read everyone of them, but my Scribeslice slice of time is limited, usually.
Lucy are you alright?

Warren Gates

11th April 2013

Let it be known that at 8:05 am here in Dubai, I have 0 notifications. :P

Eat your heart out girls.

Asma Ahsan

12th April 2013

Ha! I should be asleep! It's 10:54 pm over here. Just waiting for my story to add.

Daniela Bustamante

12th April 2013

Warren...Yes, thanks for caring. I took a Panedeine,(much stronger) than the panadol that I should have taken, not realising it had expired many years ago! Had lots of pain in my right arm that I couldn't sleep, so I was desperate! No wonder I felt so groggy. I have thrown them away now! All is good. I'm on top of the world.

Asma...Lucy you. How do you do it with YOU, nearly always filling up my notifications, and getting so much done? (By the way, you have me motivated now, so this mng. I cleared out lots of OLD stuff that I never used, and will give it all away.) But that is just the very start.

Okay, this is the freaky Discussion!

Now that I am back in business, I found - Another Freaky coincidence - 3 days away = 33 notifications! The ones who know me, know that the 'Number 3' has always been MY number, in numerology etc. So many co-incidences. Our first married home was No. 3. Now this our present home, is Number 9 = 3x3. Married on the 27th =9 = 3x3. Just Many of these coincidences throughout my life. Oh, and born on the 9th too. I was 33 when I had my major op. too.

Davide Castel

15th April 2013

On the 33rd day of April, you shall win a jackpot. :P My prediction.

Its dangerous to have expired stuff. Check date always.

Lucy - I work at something all day. Its my nature. I cant sit still in one place. The only time i relax is when I sleep. I doze off in a second and can sleep for hours without dreaming. :) I dont even have a sleep disorder as I can sleep at will. I trained myself to sleep whenever needed so i can catch up on my rest.

Asma Ahsan

15th April 2013

Sounds just like me! I can switch off and go into Na... Na...land in the day and especially at night. Normally, I always dream. Last night was a beauty! But no point going into dreams.

Thanks for saying I will win a jackpot, because being realistic, this definitely cannot happen on the date you predicted! But I love your sense of humour, which is positively necessary to survive in THIS our WORLD!

I actually don't mind expired stuff in the dry department, because the use-by-date, is only a guideline, except for Dairy products. My stomach can always tell!

Davide Castel

16th April 2013

Hmm. Glad you enjoyed the dream last night. Keep dreaming. Be careful about expired stuff. The date means it will start decomposing after it so better not to use it.

I had this granola cereal at Starbucks with expired yogurt. It was so sour after first taste, I had to spit it out. They didn't check it's date. Bad service but they exchanged it for fruit salad so I was ok with it. Sadly, I gave first tast to my baby who complained of sour throat for the next day. One has to be extremely careful with expiration dates. So you should MIND expired stuff.

Another research is tha if you put a tea bag in the water for too long, or reuse it again and again, the tea in the bag can get moulds and cause stomach problems.

So it's safety first so please avoid products with expiration date gone on them.

Asma Ahsan

16th April 2013

Well yesterday, I went through my medicine cupboard and found lots of expired stuff, so listening to you advice, I chucked them out. But as I said, it is the dairy products that are the worse offenders. My daughter is a highly qualified and specialised nurse and she also tells me this. But at times I'm too lazy and can't face going through stuff! I NEED to be in the RIGHT MOOD! Bad habits die hard!

Davide Castel

16th April 2013

Medicines must be checked regularly and chucked out when expired. Its a must - cant be lazy.

I was in and out of hospitals all my life. My grandmother, my son, myself - lets say my relationship with doctors go a long way. I learned a lot about hygiene and being careful in hospitals. Eventually, once my baby is school going, I think I will join a hospital in the management. I enter a hospital with a sick relation and come out relieved and on the road to reccovery - so for me, a doctor is an angel. :) Not every doctor though, some are crappy and commertial, I love a doctor who is honest with his job and helps me in my hour of need. :)

Asma Ahsan

16th April 2013

Also to add, some doctors can be so RUDE!!! While others take their time and you are waiting for hours on end
