soul mates

Was the Life of Pi a metaphorical story about the tiger that is always trying to defeat us with doubt. This poem explores it.

Life of  I

Rocking the boat
Don’t know if to do or die
I wrestle with the indecisions in
The Life of I

My Tigers burning bright
Growling at my insecurity.
Do I fight of flight
Or let this beast kill me.

Am I a piece in some elaborate game
Or survivor in this rolling sea?
Will my exploits gain me fame
Or only known by myself and Me?

Zebra, like the news you’re black n white and re(a)d all over
So hyena I will have the last laughing eye
The Richard Parker with in me will survive moreover
You haven’t seen the Last of I !
