This made me all warm and fuzzy inside. I'm quite embarrassed. I'm supposed to be the hardcore horror writer! Kudos to you. You've broken my shell here.

Thanks Taylor..babies are innocent. Unfortunately, they grow up too soon. My mother used to say, "When they are little, you want to eat them with your kisses. When they grow up, you regret not having eaten them!"

soul mates

A repost of an earlier poem about my baby grand-daughter,

Today I'll meet an Angel,
My appointment is at One
Will I find her sleeping
Or ready for my arms?

I will hug and kiss her,
That’s what I'm waiting for
And she will snuggle into me
And melt my very core.

For a baby is an Angel,
They can do no wrong
So pure and innocent today,
But tomorrow, for how long?

I'll enjoy the moment while I can,
And hope there's quite a few
To keep her love and trust in me
I'll see what I can do. 2 comments
